Brief Summary: Diarrhoea disease is one of the diseases that are easy to manage at home without resulting into any complication and death. However, it is still responsible for almost half of a million children’s death annually especially in developing countries. Several studies have been carried out on home management of diarrhoea, in which average to low scores have been reported on knowledge, attitude and practice of home management of diarrhoea among mothers with under-five children. The purpose of the study is to improve mothers’ knowledge, attitude and practice of childhood diarrhoea home management through a well-designed health educational intervention program. This designed health educational program will be used in developing diarrhoea home management guidelines that can be adopted by local, state and national health authorities.

2. Title: Parents’ Knowledge, Perception and Attitude towards Substance abuse among Adolescent in Ibadan-North Local Government Area.
Brief Summary: Substance abuse has become a global issue and has skyrocketed in recent years. Globally, the use of substance is very prevalent among adolescents and adult populations in developed and developing countries. It is also one of the major   contributors to disability-adjusted life years. Substance abuse continue to be one of the key issues facing public health worldwide. Recent researches have shown that psychoactive drug use is becoming more prevalent in younger groups potentially leading to addiction. Adolescents take drugs for a variety of purposes, such as getting high, relieving stress, feeling mature, or testing the potency of a certain substance. These drugs have significant adverse effects on their health despite this, the use is still high among this age group. Parents roles in controlling this menace is quite very significant however the rate at which the adolescents are using these drugs seems many parents lacks knowledge or have poor perceptions of this problem. Hence, the need to assess Parents’ Knowledge, Perception and Attitude towards Substance abuse among Adolescent.
