Biography:

I, Chiemerigo Anne Bright a Lecturer II with the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Faculty of Nursing with special Interest in Psychosocial Oncology, Oncology Nursing/Care and Women’s Health. I had my first Degree in Department of Nursing, Imo State University, where I obtained my N.Sc in 2013. After which, I obtained my Masters degree in Medical Surgical Nursing from the Department of Nursing, University of Ibadan. I am a registered nurse, Midwife, with Nursing  and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as well as a registered nurse with  Texas Board  of Nursing, USA. I am passionate about empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to be great and dynamic nurses. The psychological health of people living with cancer and their Family caregivers resonates greatly in me.  I have conducted researches related to these areas.

Title : EFFECTIVENESS OF A NURSE-LED COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY ON PSYCHOLOGICAL DISTRESS AND COPING AMONG FAMILY CAREGIVERS OF THOSE WITH CANCER IN SELECTED HOSPITALS IN SOUTH-WEST NIGERIA
Summary: Psychological distress among family caregivers of those with cancer have been widely studied including South-west Nigeria. It is in this regards that I set out to provided CBT to these caregivers in order to promote good psychological health and coping with their caregiving responsibilities.
