Biography: Prof. V I Akinmoladun is a Professor in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. He had his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1989. After the one-year internship at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and the National Youth Service Corps in Lagos in 1990 and 1991 respectively, he worked with the Lagos State Hospitals Management Board as a Dental Officer before proceeding to the UK.  He went through the fixed Term Training Appointment programme in the UK at various Hospitals; St John’s Hospital, Chelmsford, Basildon and Southend NHS Trusts, all in Essex. He then went on to Peterborough District General Hospital and Addenbrooke’s University Teaching Hospital, in Cambridgeshire. He took up an appointment with the University of Ibadan in 2004. He is an honorary Consultant to the University College Hospital, Ibadan. He served as Director of Clinical Services Research and Training to the Institution for a period of four years. Area of Research Interest: Oral Oncology, Orofacial tumours, cleft lip and palate.
