Brief Biography:

I graduated from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2003 and had my residency training in Community Dentistry at the University College Hospital, Ibadan; I was certified as Fellow after passing the final examinations of both the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in the specialty of Community Dentistry in April and May 2012, respectively. I also had a Master of Dental Science Degree from the University of Ibadan in 2007 with my dissertation based on oral health care practices. I completed a PhD program at the University of Ibadan in 2021 with my thesis entitled "Comparison of peer-led, dentist-led and teacher-led school-based oral health promotion strategies among adolescents in Ibadan, Nigeria".

I was appointed a Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in the Department of Periodontology and Community Dentistry of the University of Ibadan and University College Hospital in 2012. Since October 2015, I have been a Senior Lecturer in the Department and my research focuses on patient reported outcomes, school oral health promotion, community oral health, oral health related quality of life, health care systems and health care of underserved communities. I teach, conduct research, provide oral health care service to the community and train dental students, medical students, community health care practitioners and dentists at both postgraduate and residency training levels. I collaborate with researchers within and outside my country to solve community and global oral health challenges.
