EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE WEST AFRICAN COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS (WACP) VISITS CoMUI MANAGEMENT TEAM

Members of Executive Committee of the West African College of Physicians (WACP) paid a courtesy visit to the Management Team of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI) on Monday 12 April 2021. The team was received by the Provost CoMUI, Professor Olayinka O. Omigbodun FAS, FNAMed. Also, on ground to welcome the team were the Deputy Provost, Professor A. F. Adeniyi, Deputy Registrar and Secretary to the College, Dr. Ikeoluwapo Moody and the Financial Controller, Mrs. Oluwafolakemi Ajayi.

According to the President of WACP, Dr. Radcliffe Durodami Lisk from Sierra Leone, the team deemed it fit to pay a courtesy visit to the CoMUI Management Team in recognition of the long-standing relationship between CoMUI and WACP in respect of the conduct of examinations of the WACP. He went further to express appreciation to the Provost for ensuring that the examination venues are kept in good condition for the use of examiners and candidates.

The Secretary-General, Dr. Albert Akpalu (Ghana) and the Assistant Secretary-General, Dr. Prudence Wachinou (Benin) accompanied the President of WACP on this courtesy visit. The Treasurer, Dr. Enobong Ikpeme (Nigeria), an alumnus of CoMUI, graduating class of 1983, the Assistant Treasurer, Dr. Yvonne Dei-Adomakoli (Ghana) and Mr. Austin Modo, Head of Administration were present at this visit.

While expressing deep appreciation for the visit and the words of encouragement, the  Provost assured the WACP executives of her administration’s readiness to work in partnership with them to safeguard the long held liaison.
