Brief Biography

Dr Oyedun coordinates the undergraduate embryology courses in the department. His specialty is developmental biology and he teaches the formation of the various organ systems, from fertilization to the fetal period, to medical and allied medical students. He particularly has interest in Congenital anomalies resulting from  teratogenic exposure of the developing embryo at the organogenetic period.

He also teaches the gross anatomy of the Head and neck region to medical students.

His research interest lies in Musculoskeletal morphology and congenital anomalies- this involves the use of modern anthropometric tools to define geographical and ethnical variations of surgically important bony landmarks in Nigerians. His passion for teaching led him into medical education research which centres on elucidating the role of students’ self motivation, hardwork and studying methods in determining the final examination score outcome.
