Dr. Bade Ogundipe, an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI) had donated Digital Learning equipment to enhance the learning experiences of medical students during their clerkship period in Ophthalmology.
The Head of Ophthalmology, Professor Charles Bekibele had sent me a message about the donation. He explained that the equipment was to prevent overcrowding in the Ophthalmic Operating Theatre in line with COVID19 policy and protocols. Dr. Ogundipe had donated a 40-inch Television Monitor, a Digital Public Address System and a Computer Software Recording System. This had made it possible for medical students to observe surgery live from outside the theatre and the Department of Ophthalmology is also able to record operations and build up their archives. These materials are made available for the teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
On behalf of all Staff, Students and Alumni of CoMUI, I extend our deep appreciation to Dr. Bade Ogundipe.
The pictures show the equipment already in use.
