Biography:
Folorunso M. OKOME B.Pharm (Ib), MPH (Ib), PhD (Ib)
Folorunso M. Okome is a Pharmacist as well as a Public Health Professional who lectures in the Department of Health Policy and Management, Faculty of Public Health, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. She holds a B.Pharm, an MPH in Health Promotion and Education, and a Ph.D. in Public Health, all from the University of Ibadan.
Her research focus is on medication use safety, patient-centered communication and policies guiding them. Before joining academia, she served as a Pharmacist at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, and has worked with other organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), Save the Children, and the Malaria Consortium on various public health research and implementation projects.
She is a Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) and the Association of Lady Pharmacists (ALPs), and a recipient of the AHAPN Best Research Award (2024).
