Responsible for training of medical students in theoretical and clinical Obstetrics and Gynaecology in line with the curriculum adopted by the University Council and conduct state-of-the-art research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and related fields. 

Responsible for implementing grants attracted by the Fertility Research Unit, working closely with Donor Agencies and directing the project team. Senior Advisor for Family Planning/Reproductive Health April 2002 to October 2004 (Sabbatical Leave)

Responsible for providing overall technical guidance in FP/RH activities to project staff in three states (Oyo, Bauchi and Enugu) to establish models of high-impact, high-performing FP/RH service delivery networks built on public-private partnerships.

Specific Responsibilities

¨   Managed and deployed technical assistance for initiating, improving or expanding clinic-based and non-clinical FP/RH services.

¨   Managed project work by the Performance Improvement Advisor with the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and other stakeholders in refining, disseminating and applying FP/RH Standards of Practice (SOPs), and development of the National FP Service Protocols.

¨  Supervised the development of Family Planning Clinical Skills curricula for the Federal Ministry of Health.

¨  Provided programmatic support to State FP/RH Coordinators to integrate to the fullest extent possible; organized periodic meetings of program staff to facilitate coordination and sharing of experiences and lessons learned.

¨  Supervised project work at the state and LGA level to improve FP/RH training systems.
