The Nursing Department of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, held her class of 2018/2019 Induction Ceremony on 19th February, 2021 at the Paul Hendrikse Lecture Theatre, University College Hospital, (UCH), Ibadan.
The Provost, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Prof. Olayinka Omigbodun urged the Forty-four (44) Inductees to be good ambassadors of the College of Medicine and to stand tall in performing their responsibilities in synergy with other healthcare workers wherever they find themselves.
During the ceremony, the Registrar and Secretary General, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), Alhaji Faruk Umar Abubakar congratulated and formally welcomed the inductees into the Nursing Profession. He enjoined them to observe and uphold the ethics of the profession.
Also speaking at the occasion, a Professional Elder from the Nursing Department, Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Prof. Florence Adeyemo welcomed the new entrants into the nursing family and advised them to have the fear of God and embrace the principles of diligence and tolerance
The class Valedictorian was BERTHRAN, Confidence Chekwubechukwu while the Provost’s award for Excellent Participation in community life went to NWEYA, Nkechi Christiana.
The occasion had in attendance, the Executive Members of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and Representatives of the University College Hospital (UCH) Management among other dignitaries.
